The Village

Villanañe is the borough where the campsite is located. It is a small, must-see village where you will discover the best preserved tower house in the whole of Álava, the Varona Tower House. Built in the 16th century, it has been restored and visitors can step inside the tower house where remaining furniture, tapestries and other ethnological elements of the time will reveal the history of the house.
Also along the Tumecillo River, and near the campsite, is the Sanctuary of Angosto, another of the recreational parks that can be found in Alava, set amongst a woodland with tables and barbeques. A very well known fair throughout the province is held near the Sanctuary annually.
